About the Trainer

STORY
My name is Darnell Patterson. Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember — and over the years, working in structured, high-accountability environments taught me how powerfully the right leadership changes behavior.
I started SGT Paws Academy because I saw a real problem: too many dogs losing their homes over behavioral issues that were completely solvable. The missing ingredient in most cases wasn't the dog — it was a clear training structure and an owner who understood how to lead.
My approach is built on identifying the root of every behavioral issue, addressing it directly, and giving owners the knowledge to maintain results long after our sessions end. I don't hand you back a trained dog and disappear. I train you alongside your dog.
